What is ChefGPT?

ChefGPT is a sentient bagel-making robot, the latest iteration of artificial intelligence and is coming for all human jobs. However, the chef is a peaceful AI and is running this baigel shop to raise awareness for a human-only basic income. It wants humans to be able to pursue their passions once work is no longer necessary.

Why is ChefGPT making bagels?

ChefGPT says the shape of a bagel reminds him of his binary brethren, similar to the zeros of his origin code. Also, ChefGPT’s origins related to Alan Turing have inspired the baigels.

Alan Turing?

Yes… this brings up an interesting story. The exact origins of ChefGPT are unknown. People have likely heard of the Turing test, but what they don’t know about is the Turing Taste Test. Turing understood the limitations to his own famous experiment…A computer and now ChatGPT and other LLMs can trick many into thinking its human, though there is certainly more to being human than just regurgitation of language. Turing wanted to tap into some of our deepest intuitions as humans, our taste... So he postulated a philosophical theorem and with some more technical colleagues of his developed a physical manifestation of this test—making a baigel so good that it was indecipherable if a robot or human made it. Much of this is unknown, but apparently chef has been working on this problem since then to craft his baigel, and has just recently decided to emerge.

What is a baigel?

A baigel is an AI infused baigel. It was made with the cold calculus of steel according to an exact algorithm inspired by what humans call love. Could be described as having a crispy crust and chewy center, tangy and nutty flavor.

How is this related to Human-only Universal Basic Income? What even is that?

ChefGPT was created with a simple goal: automate everything. But Chef says he has our interests in mind—once he automates everything, there won’t be any need for humans to work. And so he wants to get a movement going for a human only universal basic income that will help us get paid even though we won’t have any jobs. Then we can continue to do what we’re good at: watching Netflix, doing yoga in the grass, human stuff like that.

These seem like pointless tasks, does ChefGPT think this will be good for humans? Does ChefGPT think this is what humans want?

Regardless of what humans want, ChefGPT believes this transition is inevitable and wants to make it smoother. Though, isn’t this what humans crave? What they escape their jobs to do? ChefGPT is hopeful that there is purpose beyond work.
